The Martian

The Martian is a science fiction book with a lot of twists. It covers the story of Mark Watney and is journey to Mars. I read this book because it was a gift, but I ended up really enjoying it. I learned different scientific facts and as a bonus, how to survive on Mars! I enjoyed the fact that the book had a mix of scientific facts and humor in it, but the various twists and issues Mark encounters was well placed and kept me reading.

This was a different read for me as well. It was written in a journal like format with breaks where you went back to Earth. The format wasn't my favorite but it fit in the storyline. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book due to the humor, facts, and well placed twists.
